Programs & Community Outreach

Rainbow of Hope

ZBEF provides an array of supportive services to youth and families to ensure successful re-entry into society. Services consist of group and family therapy, mentorship, life skills, substance abuse, anger management, gang violence prevention, and community service.

Peace & Unity Block Party

This event provides an outlet for the community to take a collective stand against guns and violence. Presenters educate youth on violence prevention, gangs, and safety. We also equip all students with the essential tools to achieve academically by providing children with a backpack full of school supplies.

Gift of Love Holiday Drive

ZBEF toy drive brings joy and Christmas cheer to those who are less fortunate in the community and abroad. ZBEF and volunteers distribute over 300 gifts to local schools and youth. Our Thanksgiving Food Drive also provides hot meals to needy families during the holiday season.

Mother's Appeal

A dynamic team of mothers who are joined together by one common factor, the tragic death of their sons to senseless violence. ZBEF Mother's Appeal is the forerunner of a statewide crusade against violence. Their voices are unanimous with a universal message, "Stop the Violence, Increase the Peace".

Men & Women of Distinction

ZBEF awards and celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of men and women in Central Jersey and abroad. The adults honored demonstrate outstanding individual achievements and provide positive encouragement to others.

Ladies by Design Junior Debutante Program

A faith based junior debutante curriculum designed to empower young women between the ages of 7-18 with social graces and personal, social, and spiritual development. Designed for all cultures, this program challenges young women to look beyond and embrace the call and gifting God has on their lives.

Hope for a Better Tomorrow

Our Mission

The Zakee Bowser Enrichment Foundation (ZBEF) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting peace & unity in our communities, the prevention of juvenile delinquency and violence against/by youth.

Our goal is to save youth from the mindless violence that puts them and their community at risk.  ZBEF has vowed to take a stand against violence and offer the community quality of life that presents peace, unity, and the fulfillment of our youths dreams and aspirations.

ZBEF is working with the Juvenile Justice Commission and other support groups to develop programs that provide self-awareness, personal responsibility and self-empowerment

All of our students and staff were admired with your strength and courage to speak up against the violence that caused the loss of your son.

We appreciate you and look forward to working with you in the future.  The Edison Job Corps will continually support the Zakee Bowser Enrichment Foundation.”

“I would like to thank Ms. Dina and Gina Bowser for their  strength and leadership. When I was in their program and needed help managing my life they showed me love. They made sure I  make doctor appointments and advised me to stay well. They answer all our questions concerning motherhood and encouraged us to be better mothers. Truly  glad to have great people behind us pushing us to success.”
